  • Most Innovative State – Karnataka retains its position as the most Innovative State. It is ranked no.1 State in the India Innovation Index 2020 by Niti Aayog.
  • State significant Contributor – Karnataka contributes to about 34% of India’s $ 60 billion bioeconomy.
  • KEONICS – made a profit of Rs. 221.60 crores during FY 2019-20 compared to Rs. 18.41 crores in FY 2018-19.
  • Beyond Bengaluru – Initiated a plan to increase the demand and identify solutions/models to increase the supply in cities Beyond Bengaluru.
  • Karnataka Digital Economy Mission – the knowledge bridge between the Govt. and Industry to accelerate growth and investments in IT, BT sectors and Startup in Karnataka.
  • Launch of COVID- 19 Products/Solutions: 22 COVID related solutions that showcased State’s technological capability
  • ER&D Policy: India’s first Engineering R&D Policy was unveiled on 2nd March 2021. The Policy aims to create 50,000 jobs in 5 years.
  • Special incentive for Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) – Rs.96 Lakhs incentives to 17 ESDM companies.
  • Hubballi ESDM Exchange (HEX) Program – launched in association with IESA and KLE to promote ESD M startups in the North- Karnataka region.
  • Bio-Life Science Park: Bengaluru – a world-class biotech ecosystem with best-in-class specialized R&D infrastructure. The Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, Centre for Human Genetics and Bangalore Bio innovation Centre are some of the State’s best resource centre.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Artificial Intelligence Research Translation Park will be established in association with the IISc.
  • Research initiatives grant – A sum of Rs. 897 lakhs approved for release to 102 beneficiary institutions for research activities and up-gradation of science-related infrastructure in education and research institutions as per recommendations of the Vision Group on Science and Technology, headed by Prof. CN R Rao.
  • ‘Science Talent Search’ – to identify and nurture talented students in pre-university colleges, to award a monthly scholarship of Rs. 1000/ – per student.
  • PHDs scholarship has been launched, giving Rs. 20,000 p/m to the selected 72 candidates.
