The constitution of India, provides the right to education as a fundamental rights of children, Very few countries in the world have such a national provision to ensure child-centred education, but it is still a farfetched dream for many because an estimated ten million, six to 14-year-olds in India are out-of-school, either because they don’t have access to schools or they can’t afford them. Realizing this immediate need, Dr. Ashwath Narayan has initiated the following concepts in his constituency.

Improvement in Existing school infrastructure: The Govt. & BBMP Schools, have now caught up with the infrastructure and teaching of the private school facilities, most of the BBMP schools now have new labs, equipments, Better classroom facilities and sports facilities that can be compared with any private institution schools. Dr. Ashwath Narayan has enabled new facilities and improvements in almost all the govt and aided schools of malleshwaram for better infrastructure following schools.

Taking a leaf out of the American Education system. A community school is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources. Its integrated focus on academics, youth development, family support, health and social services and community development leads to improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities. Using public schools as hubs, community schools bring together many partners to offer a range of support and opportunities to children, youth, families and communities -before, during and after school. This initiative is set to benefit not just the students but the entire community as well.

The Concept of Community college is followed in line with KSOU SKILL DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY COLLEGES vision of registration of learners to various need based, as well as skill based and Industry integrated academic programmes for the community with the Focus on underprivileged sections of society and backward regions of the country thereby enabling a move out of poverty
